I made a bouncy ball! Its not fabulous I know but considering I couldn’t animate squat before this class started, I think this is an achievement in itself!
After I was introduced to the 12 Principles of Animation the task given afterwards was fairly straight forward, to animate a ball bouncing. Now I thought this would be an easy thing to do but what I didn’t realise is that there’s a hell of a lot more to animating even something as simple as this. Wrapping my head around Key frames and remembering to take them into account whenever a major movement is made is something that I’d forgotten to do and forgot multiple times throughout the session. So much to remember, so many places where things can go wrong; but how does it go, you learn by your own mistakes? Well if that’s true I feel like I should be a genius right about now…but I ‘aint.
I did impress myself a little though as I wanted to see if I could replicate what I did in class at home and y’know what? By jove I did it! I’ve even uploaded it to YouTube and everything! Although the vid does go a bit skew-iff at the end but hey, it works!https://youtu.be/elwskyXMMdU
